  1. File for Pro Hac Vice
  2. Co-Counsel will be appointed by Judge of the Probate Court
• Must personally appear unless the following is received three business days prior
  1. “Waiver of Formal Arraignment”
  2. Must file plea of Guilty / Not Guilty / NoLo Contend ere
     1. Plea of Not Guilty
  3. Court requires Cash Bond or Personal Appearance
  4. Bonding Companies for this area will not remain on the bond for Jury Trial
  5. Cash Bond is required or arrangements made in advance for a Bonding Company
     2. Plea of Guilty or NoLo Contendere
        1. Suspendible Offenses MUST personally appear for sentencing.
        2. Some Suspendible Offenses require mandatory jail time
        3. DUI & Misdemeanor possession of Marijuana require mandatory probation
           1. Defendants must personally appear for sentencing
           2. Sentences are according the Georgia Annotated Code no alternative sentencing
           3. Defendants with mandatory suspension time will be served Notice of Suspension by the court

No case can be handled in the Probate Court of Dooly County without the waiver of a jury trial.  (Note:  Pleas of Guilty defendant may sign the back of the citation which includes the waiver)

COURT WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN PLEA BARGAINING OR PLEA NEGOTIATIONS.

JUDGE DWAYNE D. FOREHAND WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN EX PARTE COMMUNICATIONS WITH EITHER ATTORNEY OR DEFENDANT. (No discussions with attorney or defendant prior to arraignment. Attorneys found to be using threats or intimidation tactics to court staff will immediately be reported to the State Bar of Georgia for un- professional practices.)
